The company has been founded by Dario and Romano Marcato in a small village in the Padova area at the beginning of the ‘80s and has grown since then. Before becoming Lapalma it used to work also for NASA! In the early 1990s, the company decided to focus on seating and then, ten years later and after achieving many international awards, transformed its collections into a system of versatile minimalist products, ideal for all environments. The products are now distributed in more than 80 countries.
